Welcome to TypeWright: Expert Editing, Proofreading, and Much More

First impressions are crucial

You have worked hard to write your tender, report, CV, dissertation, programme, or web page: don’t let a few typos and grammatical errors undermine your efforts. If you want to be taken seriously, your work must be well presented. It should be clear, correct, professional looking, and consistent. When writing to tight deadlines, or compiling lengthy reports, many people will concentrate on getting the content right, and let the all-important fine detail slip. The way you present your work is fundamentally linked to its success, so it is worth using a proofreading and editing service to help you get it right.

Getting the help you need: you want to show yourself in the best light. This might mean maintaining the integrity of your brand, getting your grammar and referencing right, or making sure your application form works the best it can for you. Maybe you have been handed a heap of content or copy by a customer, which is proving difficult and time-consuming to handle? Don’t get overwhelmed by it: farm it out to a professional.

Why choose me? I am well-qualified, reliable, professional, and experienced. I am also an academic and creative writer myself, so I understand how important your work is to you. You can find out more about me here, and about my services here.

For academic essays, correct grammar, spelling, and reference work can be worth 10% of the marks available, so it is important to make sure that this is in order.

When submitting a tender, or applying for a job or funding, you need your application to stand out from all the others. So it is of the utmost importance that your application, CV, cover letter, etc. are free from errors and read well. If a potential employer has a choice between several similar candidates, they are more likely to pick the one whose application looks most professional.

Your website is your shop window, and through it you present your business to a global audience. In today’s connected world it is crucial to your success that your website shows you in the best possible light. Don’t lose potential customers because of a few spelling or grammatical mistakes.

A common mistake is to trust the spell-checking software that comes with your word-processing package; while picking up some grammatical errors and typos, it will frequently make suggestions that are incorrect, and leave errors unnoticed. If English is not your first language, it may be even more difficult to spot them, or you may end up writing in US English, which will not appeal to a UK audience.

Even the most experienced writers need a fresh pair of eyes to look over their work.

This is where I can help. I will check your work to ensure that it is free from basic errors and reads properly. I am aware that you have put a great deal of time and energy into your work, and that every customer is different, so I offer a flexible and personal service. I am available throughout the process to discuss your requirements in a number of ways, from email to Skype, so you always have the support you need.

How it Works:

Most work will be done via email, which enables a speedy and reliable service. Your writing will be edited using the MS Word ‘Track Changes’ facility. This allows you to review and then accept or reject my suggestions, leaving you in full control of your work. I will be happy to discuss your requirements before undertaking the project, and will be available for further discussion should it be needed. I can also work with other document formats. During editing the project will be backed up securely and stored in the Cloud. It will be deleted once the project has been completed. Payment is quick and easy, using PayPal or a simple bank transfer.
